What are my rights? Hearing Loss

I want to let you know that under the Pennsylvania Worker’s Compensation Act, hearing loss
benefits are available to workers exposed to hazardous occupational noise. Obviously, our job
sites are very noisy, as we are subjected to diesel truck engines, chain saws, pumps and
exploding transformers, just to name a few.

What are my rights? Asbestos Exposure and Lung Cancer

As a member of Local 614, you may have been exposed to asbestos. Exposure to asbestos can
occur in the workplace, when performing side jobs outside of work, when working on your cars
and trucks and even through exposure to the work clothes of your spouse or parents.

Cancer Screening at Temple Health Lung Center

As members of Local 614, you have access to a lung cancer screening program at Temple
Health’s Lung Center. Exposure to asbestos and other occupational exposures as well as smoking
cigarettes can cause or contribute to mesotheliomas and lung cancer.
